Terms of Service

This text is written from what the software actually does and has not yet been through a legal review. It is accurate about the product. It is not legal advice, and the wording may change once a lawyer has read it.
What these terms cover
These terms are the agreement between you and OneLink for the service at onelink.boo: the account you sign up with, the page you publish, and the address it lives at. Using the product means accepting them. They describe what the product does today rather than what it may do later. When something here stops being true, the text changes and the date above it changes with it.
Your account
An account belongs to one person, and that person is responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. If you sign up for an organisation, you are confirming you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf. You need to be old enough to enter into an agreement where you live.
Your address
Addresses are claimed first come, first served, and the product never returns one to the pool. Unpublishing a page does not free its address, and neither does abandoning the account. Choose one you are willing to keep. If an address is being used to impersonate someone, or to pass off a trademark that is not yours, the page can be suspended under the section below.
What you publish stays yours
The title, the biography and the links on your page are yours, and nothing here transfers ownership of them. You give us only the permission the product needs in order to work: to store what you enter, and to display it at the address you chose, for as long as you keep the page published. That permission covers nothing else. Your page is not used in advertising and is not licensed on to anyone. When you unpublish it, it stops being displayed.
Acceptable use
A page must not send people to spam, to phishing pages, or to malware. It must not impersonate another person or organisation. It must not carry hate speech directed at people for who they are. It must not carry sexual content involving minors, which is reported to the authorities as well as taken down. It must not be used for anything that is illegal where you are or where the service is run. Do not try to break the service, overload it, or work around its limits. A page that breaches any of this is suspended.
What happens if a page breaches this
The enforcement action is suspension. A suspended page stops being served and answers exactly as an address nobody has claimed, so a suspension is never announced to visitors. An append-only record of the action is written on the server. Pages are not monitored, so what gets looked at is what gets reported. There is no formal appeal process yet. If you think a suspension is wrong, write to the address at the end of this page.
What it costs
Nothing, today. There is no paid tier and no payment processor, so these terms carry no billing, renewal or refund conditions. If a paid tier arrives it comes with its own terms, published before anyone is asked to pay.
Availability
One person runs this service. There is no uptime commitment, no service level agreement, and no promised response time for support. The service is provided as it is. It can be interrupted for maintenance, or by something upstream failing, without notice. Keep your own copy of anything you would not want to lose.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service whenever you like, and unpublishing your page takes it off the web straight away. Deleting the account itself is a manual request: the product cannot delete an account, a page or its links, so removal means writing to the address at the end of this page. Your address is not released back to the pool either way.
Changes to these terms
These terms change when the product changes. The date at the top moves with the text. Using the service after a change means accepting the version published here.
